Flower Meadow Orchids

We are blessed at the Trust to have a few orchids on the Flower Meadow. The Common Twayblade may be an overlooked orchids, but close-up it is a real beauty.

We are quite protective of our Twayblade. Last year the main stem was nipped off by rabbits, this year a protective cage allowed it to flower.

Another beauty, and probably the most common orchid in the UK , is the Common Spotted Orchid.

This other orchid is a Northern Marsh Orchid, similar to a Southern variety, but shorter.
