Nest box Prep

This time of year we are building for putting up in local farms and woodlands. With cavity, hole nesting, birds like Great, Coal, Marsh and Blue Tits, and Redstart and Tree Sparrows it is important to provide a quality alternative to natural holes.

The above is a large box which hopefully will be a temporary nest hole for Tawny, Barn Owl.

All these boxes will be positioned, checked and the chicks will be ringed by BTO ringers.
